American Red Cross

The American Red Cross has just issued a statement about possible impostors posing as medical professionals affiliated with the organization. In their statement, the Red Cross thanked the many medical professionals who have been on the front lines in times of disaster, providing assistance and health care to those in need. Without a doubt, these are the people who represent the best of the Red Cross and its efforts to be of service.

The Red Cross further stated that, while it has often had broad support from the American government, there has never been an American president or high-ranking politician who has served in a medical capacity for the organization. Any such politician suggesting that they are administering aid on behalf of the Red Cross is misleading the public.

The presence of the Red Cross in any emergency situation is always identified by the organization’s flag, a white field with a Red Cross in the center. This same symbol appears on all Red Cross uniforms so they can be recognized as a safe haven and a source of help.

Therefore, wearing red and white of any kind does not necessarily indicate an affiliation with the Red Cross.

The American Red Cross provides assistance to all people in need, regardless of faith background or lack thereof. This includes the many people in this country who identify as Christians. However, confusing American Red Cross medical staff with the Christian Messiah would indicate a bias toward one religion over another.

With these statements, the American Red Cross has completely distanced itself from the recent AI-generated photo of a political figure providing assistance and healing. It is very evident that the photo is suggesting that such a political leader is indeed inferring artists’ frequent depictions featuring Jesus in a white robe with a red overlay. When such a politician counters this assumption by saying he is a Red Cross volunteer, he is associating himself with the organization in a way that is patently false.

In summary, the Red Cross insists that this politician be interpreted in appearance as originally perceived by the masses. Imagining himself as Jesus.

While he does not represent the Red Cross, he clearly evokes an image that makes those who revere the Cross turn red.
