Alibi Baptist Church in Tennessee has begun a new ministry to serve pastors and church leaders nationwide. Affiliated with the church’s prison ministry, this new initiative aims to provide spiritual support during legal tribulations. Simply titled “Alibi Grace,” the program will provide designated prayer warriors to ministers and church leaders facing legal troubles or arrests, regardless of the charges. The church’s pastor, Reverend Gil Tee, explains the program’s origin: “God’s church is being threatened by evil forces which seek to weed out leaders who have experienced moral difficulties. We are doing what we can to see that these men are not convicted for anything more than their call to ministry.”
The announcement comes in the wake of a series of high-profile cases in which church staffers have fallen into a pit of no-nos. Whether it’s the pastor of a megachurch with an overactive ministry of touch, or a youth pastor who has suffered the little children to come to him, these clerical scandals are being revealed all across this land. Reverend Tee believes that, because these incidents are tarnishing the faith, Alibi Grace has the authority to respond and refute these accusations in a Godly manner.
When asked if this ministry is appropriate, Reverend Tee said, “If we as the church are not beholden to pay taxes, why should we endure the other laws of the land? These fine souls certainly mean well.”
It should be noted that this ministry is limited to evangelical churches. Reverend Tee believes that extending the ministry to the Catholic Church would create a conflict of interest and could quickly deplete the ministry’s resources due to high demand.
Brother Ken Starr, former President of Baylor University, who has just recently been found to have dealings with Jeffrey Epstein, is reported to be in post-mortem conversation from his heated confines with Alibi Grace regarding any possible upcoming concerns.
