Brothers and sisters, I have been contemplating scripture these last few days, specifically the Old Testament.
I was led to the book of Joshua chapter 10, verses 28-43. The Lord instructed Joshua to conquer many different lands and to take possession therein. This is just another example of how our dear president adheres to scripture in his daily life. Like Joshua, President Trump decisively conquered Venezuela, capturing its leader and assuming control of its government. Surely the Lord shall bless this action because of its clear biblical inspiration. I dare say that our leader will continue his study of these scriptures in Joshua, as he has already indicated a desire to take decisive action in Mexico and in the great land of Greenland. All of this supports the fact that he is the most faith-friendly president in history.
However, we must look forward to future biblical inspirations as it relates to his leadership. Let us be fervent in our prayer that, like many godly leaders in the Old Testament, this president will receive similar rewards.
The book of Judges tells us the story of Samson’s defeat at the hands of Delilah who had shorn him of his locks, which had been the source of his strength. Although Samson returned to strength and power after his hair had regrown, let us reflect on this current leader’s hair health. I don’t truly believe in my heart that such regrowth would ever happen, but I digress. As we turn to 2 Samuel and reflect upon all the good that great King David had done, we must be quick to remember that his downfall was the result of moral failures for which he never recovered. May the prophet Epstein ensure the fulfillment of this scripture.
I Kings tells us the story of King Solomon who, but for all his wealth and power, was taken down by his many foreign wives. I believe this is self-explanatory. The prophet Isaiah, in chapter 9, says “the leaders … are misleading the people, causing them to go astray and face destruction, leading to God’s displeasure with the nation’s hypocrisy and folly.” The myriad cases of fact-checking the words from our leader’s lips truly bring this scripture to fruition.
And dear brothers and sisters, lest ye think that I am trapped in the stories of the Old Testament, let us turn to the New Testament. As we reflect upon the actions taken by our president without the checks and balances of our government, we turn to Romans where we are instructed, “I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.”
It is my prayer that the Lord comfort you with my thoughts as we live out these days of tribulation. Let us be faithful so that the Lord may make it so. I look forward to sharing more testimony with you in the future as I continue to pray about our world.
